Virtual Tabletop Launched!

The time had to come, and it has! Our own virtual board is ready and, after going through a beta phase with some of our users, you have it available to enjoy it from now on!

We wanted to give priority to simplicity over complicated and effective mechanics, and the board does what it has to do: display a map, the characters and monsters, and roll the dice. Everything within reach of anyone and without prior registration.

It’s so simple that it requires no explanation, so we’ve created some videos to show you how some of the board’s mechanics work. For example, the map background or character and monster tokens, in different sizes:

Easy, right? We have also incorporated fog of war so that it can be applied as quickly as possible, in the form of rectangles, like this:

And all that’s left is the dice. We have opted for quality configurable 3d dice, to take into account the performance of all computers. Ease of use and handling, and colour settings so that the Dungeon Master can identify each roll at a glance.

In short, a useful and easy to use board so you don’t have to invest in learning how to use it for a while that you could use in playing with it directly.

D’oh! We will fix it with no release needed, as soon as we can.
Thank you for noticing!

There are some minor bugs like sometimes tokens will stick to the cursor and can’t be dropped, chat displaying wrong names who rolled the dice, or some images not loading for all players.
Besides that this is an super awesome thing you have created. I LOVE the dice feature and how they interact. I LOVE how simple it is to add new tokens or backgrounds. It is just fantastic and exactly what I needed as GM during COVID times.

Thank you!

Thank you for the tips! We will give those minor bugs to the programming area, they have tons of work but they’re doing their best during this days.

Thank you!

The fog of war is not covering the tokens. If the DM prepares monster tokens we can see them as soon as the page loads. Please hide the tokens if they are covered by fog of war

This is most likely a browser limitation and something that isn’t easily solvable, in my games it usually doesn’t become an issue as it’s momentary and not long enough for my players to memorize the token positions.

How do we add token in the initiative tracker? And it would be great to get a starting blank room. By far the easiest VTT I’ve found, thanks for this.

Thanks!!!!

Drag and drop, from the upbar,
Of course first you need to add a token (then you can delete it if you like).
Usually it should be automatically added to initiative tracker unless it is full (6 positions), in that case you cand liberate a hole just dragging a token outside iniative tracker.

regards!

Hello again. Here I will share another problem and a suggestion.

(problem) Combine roll does nothing after you add two or more dice and press ok. https://snipboard.io/WuXmD0.jpg

(suggestions)
Add a way to add notes either to tokens or place them in the map.
Add a way to save scenes so GMs can prepare different maps in advance.
Add the ability to draw.

Solution: Since storage is a problem, you could look into ways players can log in and store stuff somewhere like google drive or dropbox. I have seen some VTTs do that this and its awesome because everything I make in a map stays saved somewhere I can access later.

Another option could be to store notes, scenes, and other changes in local storage. This one is easy to implement, but if the players delete their temporary files its gg for that.
